Every Wednesday, the ugly hug shares a playlist personally curated by an artist/band that we have been enjoying. This week we have a collection of songs put together by the Denton-based band, Paper Jam.

Recently announcing a physical run of their debut album This and That via K Records, Paper Jam are a timeless entity, a keepsake’s own word of mouth treasure trove. Along with the inherently sweet melodies that skip hand-in-hand with the polka dot twirls and reflective articulations, Paper Jam elicit the most contagious daydreams and aimable anthems in their short but mighty collectives.

About the playlist, the band shares;

When we have no words of our own, we listen. We send and receive and dissect and replay. Our mixture of musical predilection is ever changing and engrained in everything we do. The sounds that follow us through our transitional years— through sadness, joy and content. When we all met, we knew each of us came from entirely different musical pallets and there’s so much inspiration in that diversity. So this is just what we’ve been into recently, simple as that!
